Why Should You View Your Competitors’ LinkedIn Ads?
Collect more leads
If you’re stuck and your lead generation efforts have stopped working, look at how your competitors are attracting leads on LinkedIn.
Are they linking to their blog articles? Are they hosting webinars? Do they give free resources like ebooks or have limited-time offers?
If a certain lead gen tactic is repeated throughout their ads, that could be a sign that it’s working for them.
Improve your funnels
Ads are just the entry point. How are your competitors concocting their marketing funnels?
For each of their LinkedIn ad, identify which part of the funnel it targets, whether it’s awareness, consideration, or conversion.
If you can pinpoint their objective for each ad, that tells you which audience segment they’re targeting.
Check their strategies for each part of the funnel and see if you’re using those tactics too. If not, it’s time to spice up your strategy by learning from your competitors.
Upgrade your creatives
Boring ads don’t get clicks.
Your competitor’s ads are a free source of creatives to add to your swipe file.
Best of all, you already serve the same audience so what works for them will work for you.
Things to pay attention to are copywriting frameworks, ad hooks, pain points, CTAs, ad format (video, image, or carousel), discount offers, and tone of voice. The possibilities are limitless with this one.
